I found it hell to give up that old Cloudbase. She went well on the dunes. picture took about 1978 just before i brought Jason Board old Cherokee for the dunes.

I always said, if I was about to land in water I would get up, unclip and bail out before hiting the water. Mind you I found out some time ago it is hard to swim with a grash hat on so if need be then hat off too

vapula Did my 1st flight as a club pilot today and managed to throw in my 1st top landing. A 1 hour ridge soaring flight at Devils Dyke. Had to come down to do the school run! Actually, I would have come down anyway cos my neck and shoulders were killing me! Landed in the paddock. Thanks to Dave, David, John B and Matt for their help and advice.
